Program

From the eternal city to the city of the waltz. We pass by the romantic silhouettes of the hills of Tuscany, the vineyards of Chianti, the legendary streets of Emilia Romagna, patrician villas in Veneto, winding mountain roads in the Alps – all of this will accompany us on our way from Rome to Vienna in 2025.

We drive exciting special tests on roads that are mostly far away from the beaten trail. We spend the night in castles, villas and grand hotels.

Fri., September 12 th

Driver briefing in the evening at the hotel Crowne Plaza Rome.

Sat., September 13 th

The first vehicle leaves Rome at 08:31. Our route takes us via Vetralla, Orvieto and Montalcino and finally to a golf resort south of Siena.

Sun., September 14 th

We touch the Chianti, let Florence to the right and cross the Apennine Mountains on the same roads that Italian sports car manufacturers use to test their cars. It is almost inevitable that our today’s destination is Maranello.

Mon., September 15 th

In an area with such a rich motorsport tradition, the use of a race track is a must. Even if the Plain of the Po is not a driving highlight, the Euganean Hills come next and the special stages there are much more interesting.

Tue., September 16 th

Today is a day of rest and this is exactly the kind of peace that the Venetian villa on the Brenta Canal where we are staying exudes. If you want, you can take a motorboat ride to Venice right in front of the hotel.

Wed., September 17 th

The region of Veneto not only offers us outstanding places such as Bassano del Grappa and Asolo, it also has surprisingly winding mountain roads. On a clear day, we can see from the Monte Grappa to St. Mark’s Square in Venice.

Thu., September 18 th

Into the Alps. Even if this year the highest Alpine passes are not waiting for us, Monte Zonkolan is guaranteed to make us forget this fact.

Fri., September 19 th

We use the lesser-known roads of Carinthia and southern Styria. Nevertheless, neither driving fun nor culinary delights will be missed. The special stage “Quatermile” is a rather entertaining conclusion to the day.

Sat., September 20 th

We are now just 230 km away from the “Finale Grande” in the south of Vienna. In between, six special stages will once again challenge the best of the participants.

In the evening, the flower ceremony will award the winners in the upper floor of the K.u.K. Confectionery Shop Gerstner.

Special Stages

It’s not just the landscape and roads that ensure the fun and excitement of the Tour Grande. Around 40 special stages (timing tests with visible measuring points) ensure excitement throughout the entire event.
